HCL came to G. Pulla Reddy Engineering College on the 15th of December for campus recruitments. The package offered was 3.25 lakhs per annum. The following are the details of their modus operandi for recruitments.
The Written Exam
* AMCAT test module
* Adaptive testing (GRE MODULE)
Verbal
Quantitative aptitude:
In this section, the following types of questions were given to the students.
* Logarithms.
* Probability.
* Work – Time problems.
* Pipes – Cisterns problems.
* Speed – Distance problems.
* Averages.
* Progressions.
* Numerical Quant.
* Permutations and Combinations.
Reasoning:
* Blood Relations.
* Directions.
* Relations – Paragraph Questions.
* Number Series.
* A:B::C:D.
* Coding and Decoding.
* Odd Man Out.
The HR Round:
The HR round was a group interview cum discussion. There were 10 interviewees per batch. Each participant had to justify why he/she is the ideal choice for the job. Participants were asked to identify amongst themselves the least eligible candidate if only 9 out of the 10 were to be short listed. The interviewer also asked them to list their strengths and weaknesses. The participants were asked to conclude the proceedings in the last 40 seconds.
And the most important of all is HCL will never allow any backlog history in your engineering career and the final result.
* 162 appeared for written test
* 44 cleared written test
* 6 were removed for their backlog history
And 32+2(already placed in TCS) were taken in to the company
